Computer Mouse Problem
Spending time working on my pc today I came across a problem with my pc mouse that I have not come acrossd before. I use keyboard shortcuts as much as possible however there are times when I use the pc mouse. Today, it really would not obey my actions, jumping and freezing with almost a life of its own.

I checked all the obvious things first, the mouse settings in my Control Panel, then did a quick clean of cookies and temp files as this can sometimes interfere with a mouse. Checked the connection incase it had become loose. Nothing worked.
Only closer inspection of the pc mouse I noticed that my precious little optical mouse was infact, quite dirty. Not surprising really when I think about how many hands have used this mouse time and time again. When you have a family, and you have a computer…..do I have to say more?
And the remedy…
The computer mouse is made up of sections, left, right and the wheel in the middle. All these cracks inbetween were quite bunged up with dirt. Taking a new, clean cheap toothbrush and getting into the cracks with the bristles I was able to remove…..yes! tons of dirt. Little bits of this and that and whatever residue from all those little hands that had played with it.
Hey PRESTO! no more jumpy, freezing pc mouse.
